How To Get Here
We depend on air travel, so it's easy to
get to Northern Frontier. Connections from southern Canada are excellent,
with several jet flights a day from Edmonton, and direct connections
to Ottawa and Whitehorse. Our smaller communities are off the road
system, but served by scheduled flights from Yellowknife.
There are two possible
road routes to Northern Frontier, one from
northern British Columbia, following an all weather gravel highway
part of the way, and one from northern Alberta which is paved ~
Sept 2006 Completion. Bus service from the south is available to
Rae and Yellowknife year round. Renting a recreational vehicle in
Edmonton is also an option.

A scenic and historic route through the Northwest Territories, Northwest Alberta and Northeast British Columbia. The connection links the Mackenzie, Liard and Alaska highways through the three regions.
